Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions merchants ask most about Wholeness. If yours isn’t here, contact support.

Buying and setting up

Can I try Wholeness before I buy it?

Yes. On the theme’s page in the Shopify Theme Store, click Try theme. The theme is added to your draft themes, where you can preview it and customize it with your own products. Code editing isn’t available during the trial, and the customizations you make are kept if you buy the theme. See Add the theme.

Can I use Wholeness on more than one store?

A theme bought from the Shopify Theme Store is licensed to the store where the purchase was made. To use Wholeness on another store, buy it from that store.

What is the difference between the Wholeness and Weaveform styles?

They are the same theme, with the same sections and settings. Wholeness is set up for supplements and wellness products; Weaveform is set up for clothing. They differ in colors and in a few starting settings, and you can use any section with either style. See Two styles.

How do I change the style after I add the theme?

In the theme editor, click the Theme settings icon, then Theme style, choose the style, click Change style, and then click Save. This replaces your current settings, such as colors and fonts, so duplicate the theme first if you want to keep them. See Choose or change the style.

Design and content

The settings of the Hero section are its first slide. Add Slide blocks to add more slides: with two or more, the hero becomes a carousel. With Change slides automatically on, the hero moves to the next slide by itself: a picture stays for the time set in Time on each picture, and a video stays until it ends. To show a video, choose it in Video, on the section or on a slide. It plays without sound, and visitors can turn the sound on.

Can I show a different picture on phones?

Yes, in the Hero section. Each slide has Image on phones and Video on phones. An upright picture (for example, 4:5 or 9:16) works best. When they are empty, phones show the main image, cropped around its focal point.

Can the header sit over the hero picture?

Yes. In the Header section, set Header at the top of the page to Transparent. On pages that start with a hero, the header sits over the image and fills in with its background color as the shopper scrolls. Use Text while transparent, Logo while transparent or Turn the logo white while transparent so the header reads well over your picture. On other pages the header is always opaque.

How do I change words such as “Add to cart”?

In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store, click the … button next to Wholeness, and then click Edit default theme content. Search for the words you want to change, type your own, and click Save. No code is needed.

Does Wholeness work with several languages and countries?

Yes. The theme’s storefront text comes in English and Portuguese (Brazil), and you can translate it into other languages. When your store sells in more than one country or region, the footer shows a country or region selector. When more than one language is published, turn on Show language selector in the Footer section to show a language selector beside it.

What happens for shoppers who prefer less motion?

Carousels, scrolling text and slides that move on their own stand still for visitors who ask their device for reduced motion, and those visitors change slides themselves. For everyone else, anything that moves can be paused: moving rows stop under the pointer, and the hero’s slides and the scrolling text have a pause button.

Products and collections

Why don’t sizes show on my product cards?

Check Theme settings › Product images. Show options over the picture must be on, and Options shown must list the name of your option exactly as your products have it, such as Size. Cards show the first option whose name is on that list. See Sizes over the picture.

Why do some color dots show a photo instead of a color?

A dot shows a color when the option is connected to Shopify’s swatches, or when the color’s name is listed in Theme settings › Product images › Color of each dot, one per line, as in Black: #111111. Otherwise it shows the variant’s photo. Add the colors you use to that list, written as they are in your products. See Colors under the picture.

Why don’t filters show on my collection pages?

Filters show once they are turned on in Shopify’s Search & Discovery app: in your Shopify admin, go to Apps › Search & Discovery › Filters and add the ones you want. A filter only lists values your products have. See Filters and sorting.

How do I show a price per 100 g, or per unit?

Add Shopify’s unit price to the product or variant (Pricing › Unit price in your Shopify admin). The theme shows it under the price, on product cards and in the cart. For packs such as “3 Pack”, the variant picker also shows the price per unit by itself. See Unit price.

How are the products in the cart suggestions chosen?

With Show product suggestions in the cart on (Theme settings › Cart), the cart suggests the complementary products you picked in the Search & Discovery app, then the related products Shopify calculates, and then the products of the Reserve collection. Leave that collection empty to use every product in the store. Number of products sets how many are suggested.

When does a countdown stop showing?

The Countdown bar and the countdown of Banner with collections end on the date and time you write in Countdown ends on, in your store’s time zone, such as 2026-11-27 23:59. The countdown bar also accepts 27/11/2026 23:59, and a date without a time lasts to the end of that day. Once the date has passed, the countdown bar leaves the store on its own. With the setting empty or a date that can’t be read, no countdown shows in your store, and the countdown bar shows a note in the theme editor.

Updates, code and support

Will I lose my changes when I update the theme?

No. An update is added as a new copy of the theme, and settings and content you set in the theme editor are copied to it. Code edits are carried over only when they don’t conflict with the update, so keep a copy of any code you changed. Your live theme doesn’t change until you publish the new copy. See Update to a new version.

Is help with custom code included?

No. Support covers the theme as it is: bugs and questions about its features and settings. Changes to the theme’s code, custom designs and integrations with apps are not included in the price of the theme. For those, we suggest hiring a Shopify Partner, and duplicating the theme before anyone edits its code. See the support policy.

How do I contact support, and how fast will I get an answer?

Use the support form. You get an automatic confirmation by email with a reference number, and we reply within two business days (Monday to Friday, except US federal holidays).
